Desktop4If you love to read, and you love good food, consider joining our Slow Food Book Club. It’s free, open to members and non-members, and focuses on food topics. We meet every other month on the second Thursday. Right now, our location isn’t fixed, although if we get a majority of folks in one area, we can definitely discuss what’s convenient.

Books we’ve read in the past include The Mushroom Hunters, American Terroir, Feeding a YenBlood, Bones and Butter, Tomatoland and more!

Our next meeting is on July 10, at the Bryant/View Ridge home of Board Member Leslie Seaton. We’ll be taking advantage of summer weather (fingers crossed!) and a big backyard to discuss Growing a Feast, the latest by Kurt Timmermeister. You can RSVP here, and email membership@slowfoodseattle.org for specific address info.

What will we read after that? You can help us decide! We’ll read anything related to food: memoir, classics, policy, farm-focused, etc. We’re going to start a specific list just for Book Club communications. Want to get on the list to learn about future book votes, etc.? Sign up below!
